Get out of the boardroom ‘Nigeria This Week’
As a viewer of CNBC Africa’s business feature, I enjoy learning more about the business community within the continent. The ‘East Africa Business Report’ is properly packaged, giving us viewers more into business activities in Kenya, where they feature entrepreneurs in their business premises which relates better to me.
However with ‘Nigeria This Week’ its all about government meetings nothing else. I want to see more of the Nigerian entrepreneurs and none of the typical government officials in endless meetings, which as a viewer (in South Africa) does not benefit me at all. As an aspirant entrepreneur I want to learn how my counterparts in Nigeria do things compared to me…and not see week after week government officials in meetings.
Whoever is responsible for packaging that Nigerian show, is not doing justice to entrepreneurs in that country. I want to see entrepreneurs in action, let them talk about daily challenges they face and also celebrate their successes.
To CNBC Africa management, please revise that Nigerian slot, that country is huge and has many entrepreneurs who could be featured. Enough about meetings and the stock exchange, I want real action, go down to the floor and interview entrepreneurs.
