Another baby (MyKid.co.za) conceived by accident
This idea was conceived last Saturday 14 February 2009, while myself and wife were hunting for a bed for our forthcoming first born baby. The drive behind it all was, what happens to baby furniture once the kid is grown up? Does it just gathers dust at the garage and awaits the next birth in the family, while it could be sold to the next willing buyer as long as its still in good condition.
MyKid.co.za is a solution to this problem faced by many families across the country. Indeed not all of us can afford to buy brand new baby furniture since its very costly, while there are families willing to buy used furniture while its still in good working condition.
Spent two hours on Sunday searching for a suitable .com domain and reached a brick wall…all gone. Then realised its a losing battle, rather let me focus on local domains which are pregnant with opportunities since its never a struggle getting a .co.za domain.
Below are logo mock-ups for MyKid.co.za and have fallen in love with sample two (love the colours and fonts, very simple and easy to relate with toddlers) though I’ll remove the chair and add a tagline – sell/buy used baby furniture:
