Innovate don’t duplicate
I’ve always been against the tradition of duplication in township businesses…car wash, air salons, corner vegetable stands, spaza shops, shebeens etc, all fall within that trend.
It’s the norm in any township in SA to come across any of the above mentioned businesses within a walking distance of each other.
Am not able to understand why people fail to think out of the box…why launch something that is already there instead of complimenting and not competing?
Home based businesses provide a good start to any newcomer to the world of entrepreneurship.
The internet is presenting endless business opportunities, with no barriers to entry and yet loads of university graduates in townships are jobless.
